Sit back relax and let us take care of your residential deck installation; though your DIY project may seem like a cost efficient project, it can take weeks and cost a lot in time and labor to complete your own deck, but at Sungreen Landscaping we can have your deck installed within days so you can spend more time using your deck for what it is intended for, lounging and relaxing. At Sungreen we can install both pressure treated wood decks or composite material decks, both of which are top grade, low maintenance and naturally appealing deck materials. High grade cedar and pressure treated wood are our top twos choice for lumber materials for deck construction.

Did you know?
Cobblestone was the original natural material used as a form of pavement, concrete and stone hardscape design. Cobblestone streets date as far back as the 3rd and 4th centuries.
Pressure treated decks are another great construction material for decks. Pressure treated wood is literally “treated wood” that has been chemically preserved to prevent decay and termite attacks. Typically, the treated wood we would be using is pine but there are other options available according to your preferences. Pressure treated wood has a long lifespan and is more cost effective compared to cedar; however, you do run the risk of this kind of wood absorbing a lot more water and expanding, shrinking and distorting with unpredictable and unforeseeable bouts of weather.
Cedar is a naturally rot resistant material; unlike many other construction wood, cedar barely absorbs water, therefore stopping it from warping and cracking over time. If maintained well a cedar deck can last anywhere from 15-20+ years and will maintain its beauty over time. However, because cedar is a softwood, it is susceptible to scratches and marks; moving furniture of pets who claw at the wood will cause it to mark up over time.
Composite decking is a wood alternative made from synthetic material. Though this may not seem like the most appealing option at first, we want you to know that composite material is extremely durable, low maintenance, environmentally friendly and will last for a minimum of 20-25+ years. It’s weather, stain and and rot resistant, and one of its only downfalls is that it becomes slippery when wet.
